People always wonder why I seem so angry and bitter all the time.. why I act so miserable. Well, let me tell you. I act that way because for so long, I let people walk on me. I bottled up all my emotions. I started to hate myself. I smiled, even though I wanted to die. Now, I’m stuck taking all my bottled up emotion out on other people. Blame society and my poor coping skills.
just know this: I’m sorry.
There have been so many instances where I’ve told a christian that I’m atheist, and they respond by saying.. “oh, but you seem so nice and innocent! i didn’t think that you were the crazy counter-culture rebellious type. God just made you mad, didn’t he?” …..and they expect me to not get offended by this. I find that kind of audacity astonishing.
Next time one of my friends tells me that they are christian, I will say “oh, but you seemed so smart.. you don’t seem like the type that would go around talking to imaginary people in the sky. You just have a hard time coming to grips with reality, don’t you?”
If they ever make it mandatory for schools to teach creationism, then I will go to the school board and demand that they teach Pastifarianism. The flying spaghetti monster needs his recognition.

today i was speaking to one of my friends and the subject of evolution came up.. immediately, she said that she didn’t believe in evolution. I asked her why, and she simply responded, “I’m christian.” as if that was totally explaining not “believing” in evolution.
ok. This irritates me. Unlike the christian religion, science does not require faith. You don’t “believe” in science. Science is facts; it is information backed up with evidence. Science just IS. Evolution does not necessarily mean that god is not in the picture. I mean, he’s not, but evolution has nothing to do with that. All evolution means is that SPECIES CHANGE OVER TIME. it happens. there is evidence. lots of proof. end of story.
Why is it that so many Christians think that evolution means a giant explosion turned into a monkey and that monkey then turned into a human being? It’s so sad how ignorant people can be…
